About Us
Momentum for MFES has built quickly. Since the start of the organization at the beginning of this 2009, we’ve met with dozens of potential partner organizations and over 100 individuals. We’ve formed volunteer working groups that have met regularly to develop our Curriculum and Enterprise models, and have begun efforts in Brunswick, Bowdoinham, Richmond, Lewiston/Auburn, Bath, Georgetown, Wiscasset, Damariscotta/Newcastle, Waldoboro, and the Greater Portland area. We have convened a founding board, incorporated in the state of Maine, and initiated the process to obtain recognition as a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

We have also developed sample proposals and funding structures for the Lewiston/Auburn, MidCoast, and Greater Portland sites, each specifying a public school funding structure customizes for that community and a set of enterprise partnerships ready to link to the project.
